So I've been drawing figures w/o faces lately..often unfinished....perhaps less polished to some. I'm not sure why but there is a sense of anonymity attributed to unfinished humanistic figures. You almost wonder, who is this? Where's the expression on their face? To me, the best part is that it can be anyone and the spirit of their actions is communicated in the lines surrounding the face and not in the face itself.
